So, Let It
Change.
They say it’s the only constant in life. It happens every day, whether or not it impacts you. Or whether you notice it immediately or over time.
But one of the things that does impact us writers is that our writing changes over time, consciously or not.
Our Writing Changes with Us
It’s rare for someone not to change, not even a little.
But I think writers change a lot more than many people, given what we do. So why wouldn’t the way we write change with us?
I’ve heard from some authors that their process changes with each book they draft.

Hell, whenever I look through my Vocal, Medium, and Substack profiles, it amazes me how much my writing and my life have changed over the years.
I even think back to when I first started writing in high school, and damn, it’s worlds apart.
And I wonder how my writing will change next.
Why it Shouldn’t Bother You
You gotta trust the process, no matter how many changes it undergoes for you, for both your writing and life. Just keep creating stories.
It might just amaze you.
