When I Was Little, I Wanted To Be An Artist
Now, I’m A Writer
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
When we’re young, everyone has dreams of what they want to be when they grow up, whether that be an astronaut, the president, or a famous singer.
As for me, I had several dreams during my childhood and adolescence.
What I Wanted To Be
I wanted to be several things before settling down with writing.
First Dream
While I don’t recollect much of my childhood, I remember wanting to be an artist. I don’t know why, either. Maybe because drawing, coloring, and painting soothed me.
It lasted until middle school, where, after taking a couple of school classes in sixth grade, I realized it wasn’t my calling.
Second Dream
For a time, I wanted to be a scientist of some type, as science interested me in late middle school and early high school.
But that dream didn’t last too long, as I did not care for most school subjects, and you must do well in school to meet the requirements.
Also, my interests changed in a more creative direction.
