As writers, we are often encouraged to write about anything and everything to improve our skills. Especially at the beginning.
But what if you do not want to write about a particular subject?
Well, you’re not alone because I have some topics I stay away from.
Sex
For my non-fiction writing, I have never broached the subject of sex, either my experiences or giving advice about it.
It is not my style or brand, and it is one of the very few things about my personal life that I want to remain private. And if you’ve read any of my non-writing articles, you know I talk about most aspects of my life.
Of course, I’m not casting judgment on those who do write about sex. I’m even subscribed to a couple of newsletters and find the topic fascinating.
