Music

Oh, how it influences many aspects of our lives.

I know I wrote a similar post to this one a while back, Oh Those Sweet Melodies, where I discussed how listening to music while writing helps you get into the zone.

But this post will focus on assigning a specific song to a specific writing piece.

In case you don’t know it (although it was a trending music piece for reels for a while), the song is by Lana Del Rey. And it’s a sad but good song.

A bit ago, I was writing a “fiction” short story, My First Adult Summer, for a Vocal challenge, which is basically about my summer before college started.

And I put fiction in quotes because it really wasn’t, but the Challenge I submitted it to required it to be in the Fiction community.

Anyway, every time I sat down to write, that song would play in a loop in my head. And it made me wonder how much this happens.
