When most gamers argue about which console is best, it’s typically Xbox versus PlayStation. The discourse has been ongoing for years now.
However, I will be comparing the PS4 to the PS5.

Released in late 2013, the PS4 was the next addition to PlayStation’s console lineup. A big ass jump from the PS3.
This is the one I currently have, which my roommate gave to me about two years ago, as it was his. And for being about nine years old, it works well.
Pros
- Console design: It lies flat, like its predecessors, making it easier to store.
- Account perks sharing: if you set it as your primary PS4 and others use it, they have access to all your games and such.
Cons
- New games are not backwards compatible: I can’t play Monster Hunter: Wilds or Space Marine 2.
- The frame rate is lower.
- Things take longer to download (like Edge of Fate for Destiny 2, which took hours to install before I could play).
