When writing a first draft, issues in need of correction are bound to arise, and that’s normal.
But there are things that every writer does, one of those being either under or over writing.
Which one are you?
Over Writing
When you write every possible scene or tangent for a piece. Many writers do this in their first drafts.
I think this is especially true with pantsers, as they aren’t following an outline, so the writing takes them wherever.
You tend not to put filler in when you know where you want to go.
Under Writing
This one is when you write the bare bones as a first draft and then fatten it up as you make revisions and edits.
