How My Clothes Have Been Changing

Clothes.

As much as anything else we have or do, they represent who we are, whether colorful and out there or tame and thoughtful.

But all too often, we grow as individuals while our clothes stay the same. And it’s hard to let go of those pieces, whether nostalgia or fear.

What My Wardrobe Used to Be

When I was younger, my clothing was much more colorful and childlike, which made sense. Especially since my mom bought all my clothes.

However, as I began growing up and redefining who I was, a lot of my clothing items no longer fit the person I was becoming.

Why Am I Decreasing the Size of My Wardrobe?

I’ve been eliminating much of my wardrobe over the last six months or so for multiple reasons:

Fewer Things to Take with Me

While I’ve never moved to a new place as an adult, I know having a hundred boxes will not make the process easier.
