I’m Back Home, Ya’ll
And I Intend To Stay
Sorry for the radio silence, my friends.
But I just returned to Texas a few days ago and needed some RnR before coming back to the keyboard.
Now, I’m ready to write.
Being in Washington
Landing in Seattle, I felt a strange sense of detachment as I walked around SeaTac Airport. And not just because I didn’t grow up in the city.
The anxiety began taking hold as I boarded the shuttle that would take me back to Bellingham.
When I got to the trailer, I felt I was being suffocated by the lack of space.
What I Did
The only time I enjoyed being back there was when I was spending time with my best friend and her friends.
The first night I was there, I went barhopping with Jade and a few friends, and then I went to the Nooksack River the day after. And the day before I left, Jade and I went to the fair.
But even then, I knew I didn’t belong anymore.
