Commitment.

To be romantically committed to one or multiple people is a goal most people have. We all want love, but not all of us want the retrains of being tied to a relationship.

Some people just aren’t interested in having a partner or partners, which is fine. But there are those of us who are torn between wanting a partner and not wanting to feel trapped.

How I Came to the Conclusion

My first realization happened when I blurted it out during a conversation with my roommate about relationships while watching the beginning of Castaway.

He agreed, which wasn’t surprising considering his reason for ending our romantic relationship was due to me not being ready for something serious.

I’ve been mulling it out since then and realized I am less than eager to commit to anyone.

Why I Might Be This Way?

My first relationship.

When we were together, I was practically head over heels with him. And it was great.

Until he decided I was too much and broke up with me after a month-long break. The week after Valentine’s Day, which had been a shitty day for me…
